(TL;DR folks, skip to the bottom.)
Putting aside the normal salutations and format for a quick to all readers, especially those NOT already on the Substack network. By “not on the Substack network,” I mean folks who subscribed to this (and other) newsletters before Notes was introduced.
If you don’t know what Notes are, it’s a social media timeline of Substack newsletter authors. It is NOT a timeline of their newsletters, but a SEPARATE timeline. So there are TWO timelines, the newsletters you get in your email (unless you have it turned off, which is perfectly fine) when an author publishes one (like the Pallas and Scrimshaw review posts by yours truly recently), and Notes, which is... in truth, a lot like Twitter or Facebook, etc. Before you cringe too hard, Notes is author heavy — lots of cover reveals, authoring tips, fiction drops, etc. Lots of great work.
Why am I bothering to tell you all of this? Two reasons. 1) I used to be able to share other author newsletters directly to you when I “reposted” it (called “Restacking”). I can’t do that any more due to completely non-evil changes by Substack. Every time I share now, it goes to Notes. 2) I think some of you would enjoy reading the Notes I publish. Same quality content in the Newsletters, just a little more often. (Perhaps too often for some.) As with the regular newsletter content, 90% of it is a sharing of someone else’s work. Work I think you will enjoy. Without further ado, my Notes timeline.
After clicking link below, click on Notes. Enjoy.
I'm glad you posted this to your peeps, my friend. Also impressed you used "TLDR." I've told people this before and I think it was always lost on them.
