While the US rolls out its screamfest movie season in time with Halloween and the onset of coming “death” in the form of winter, in Japan, creepy chills are considered the perfect offset to the stifling summer months. All the vengeful jump-scare ghosts, ghastly green-glowing hospital hallways, and old creaking stairwells take over theaters and television sets to make your blood run cold.

So it follows that I’m posting all(?) the short horror stories I’ve worked on over the years in this post today. Though they be few, I hope you find one that tickles that little part of your lizard brain that enjoys the creepy dark corners of the human psyche.
