Oh, and have you read Zelazny's LORD OF LIGHT? He calls them Rakasha, and one of them, Taraka, features prominently in the novel as a frenemy of the title character.

Having seen that scene in "Horror in the Heights" where Kolchak enters the basement sanctuary of the crossbow-wielding priest, and the Scooby-Doo episode with the Tibetan refugee and the Snow Ghost, I now find myself wondering why there was never a crossover. This is my curse.
